Graduated in Chemistry and PhD in Science and Technology of Mesophases and Molecular Materials at the University of Calabria, where also he is non-permanent teacher. His main research activities are focused on sol-gel synthesis to obtain thin film and sub-micron particles, micro-Raman and IR spectroscopy int the fields of materials science and of diagnostics of cultural heritage, electrochromic materials and display based on electrochromic materials, piezoelectric materials, liquid crystals, polymers, impedance spectroscopy, carbon nanotubes. He is very active in the problematic relative to the technological transfers, such as demonstrated from many national awards received.
